The City Of Hollywood Has Once Again Earned A Perfect Score Of 100 On The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2025 Municipal Equality Index (MEI) For Having Programs And Policies That Are Inclusive Of The LGBTQ+ Community. Cities Are Rated Based On Non-Discrimination Laws, The Municipality As An Employer, Municipal Services, Law Enforcement And Leadership On LGBTQ+ Equity. The City of Hollywood is one of a record-breaking 130 other municipalities across the U.S. that earned perfect scores. In South Florida, the City of Hollywood joins Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Miami Shores, Pembroke Pines, and Wilton Manors.
The HRC scored the City on LGBTQ+ focused activities in five categories – non-discrimination laws, municipality as employer, municipal services, Law Enforcement and leadership on LGBTQ+ equality.

What began as a bold community vision has grown into a signature South Florida tradition — a vibrant, family-inclusive celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture, and visibility that brings together people of all ages and identities.
This year’s theme, “Out and Proud: 5 Years Young,” celebrates how far we’ve come and the vibrant future we’re building together. Rooted in the heart of one of South Florida’s most diverse and welcoming cities, My Hollywood Pride is a place for everyone — where art, culture, LGBTQ+ history take center stage and affirming spaces for youth and families help foster a true sense of belonging.
