Celebrating Hollywood Veterans & Active Service Members for Veterans Day

Each year the City of Hollywood honors its Veterans with a traditional barbecue on the national holiday. Once again, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts is celebrating local Hollywood veterans by offering a free meal at one of your favorite Hollywood restaurants.

Veterans must RSVP to obtain the FREE meal voucher by calling 954.921.3404. The voucher must be picked up from the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Admin-istration Office at 1405 S. 28th Avenue between Monday, November 8th and Wednesday, November 10th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voucher is for veterans only with valid military ID/DD214. Tidal Flood Mitigation and Sea Wall Project

Join the City of Hollywood Department of Design and Construction Management for a Tidal Flooding Mitigation and Sea Wall Project virtual public meeting on Thursday, November 4th at 6 p.m. The goal of the meeting is to gather input from the community regarding the voter-approved General Obligation Bond tidal flooding and sea wall projects. These infrastructure improvements are for the public shoreline segments along North Lake, South Lake and the Intracoastal Waterway. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and have their questions answered by City staff and team engineers.
