Aventura schools have closed so now it's time to make way for the sleepy summer season, which local summer camp programs are available for swift enrollment?

With well-established values of health, wellness, and education permeating the City, most Aventura parents remain concerned about the safety and wellbeing of their children during the summer months. The City of Aventura’s Community Recreation Center offers a pretty thorough listing of activities specifically designed for their youth Summer Camp Programs, which are scheduled from June 13 to August 12. Along with a General Camp created for kids ranging from age 5 to 12, there are also topical programs available for children interested in a special subject, such as art, marine biology, dance, and STEM. Sports programs are also extremely popular as the City offers instruction in soccer, tennis, and basketball. Many private Aventura businesses have also created original summer camp programs targeting children interested in more academically-driven niche activities, such as computer coding. Code Ninjas, the world’s largest franchise specializing in learning models promoting coding for kids, recently opened a storefront in the Town Center Aventura shopping plaza, which exposes children to the evolving world of technology and video game construction. Does your child have dreams of starring in a stage play or musical? Look no further than the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center (AACC) for the return of its in-person Summer Theater Camp. The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, in partnership with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and The Performance Project School of the Arts, will be hosting the annual Camp for children ages 7 to 14. Taught conservatory-style by professional actors and musical theater instructors, campers will enjoy the rare opportunity to study singing, acting, and dancing while rehearsing selections from Disney’s widely-celebrated repertoire, including Beauty and the Beast Jr., Moana Jr., My Son Pinocchio Jr., and Shrek the Musical Jr. The experience will culminate in a stage performance in front of a live audience at the Broward Center.
